I am a third year graduate student at the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences at the University of Washington. I completed a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Science from Humboldt State University. I was awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship in 2011. My research interests and experience span a wide range of topics from chemical oceanography and marine ecosystems dynamics to the behaviors and life history strategies of Chinook salmon throughout the Pacific Northwest. My current investigation is exploring the role of Chinook salmon in the ecology of infectious hematopoietic necrosis virus (IHNV) in the Columbia River Basin.
